Circuit Breaker Tests Before Energizing the Switchgear

Starting conditions:
Switchgear front door is closed, disconnector is open,
Earthing switch is closed, circuit breaker is open and locked.

CB / Disconnector interlocking mechanism is always available to ensure correct operation and operation
sequence, as per IEC62271-1 and relevant standards. To close the CB the disconnector shall be closed first,
vice versa to open the disconnector the CB shall be opened first. The following steps show how to perform
that step by step. Please take that into consideration while going to operate the CB or disconnector.
Remove the key from disconnector safety lock and place it on circuit breaker. Open the CB lock and charge
the spring by the lever. If auxiliary supply voltage connection is made, charging spring will be automatically
done. Please double check its MCB position.
