You should now be able to pull regulator out of the battery compartment and set it aside.
Take the new (replacement) solar regulator, and if present, remove its termination cover.
Connect wiring as described in
cover off.
Maneuver the new replacement solar regulator between the tabs for the battery
compartment captive fasteners and slide its right edge through the slot on the right side of
the battery compartment. Now carefully move the left edge of the regulator behind the left
captive fastening tab so you can press the regulator into place against the back of the battery
compartment.
Attach the regulator using the screws you removed in Step 4.
Attach the termination cover using the screws you removed in Step 3.
Close the enclosure.
