• Stop the pump, refer to the manual of the pump.
• Set the M304 to single action.
• Operate the "B"-port of the valve (M322 - M325) that is mounted on top of the M304 valve.
5 Use
Check the equipment for completeness and damage. Do not use the equipment if it is damaged; in that
case contact the Holmatro dealer.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
5.1 Check the hydraulic oil usage
CAUTION
Use hydraulic oil with the correct specifications and make sure no dirt or dust enters the
hydraulic tank to prevent damage to the pump and tools.
• If the pump is used at temperatures above -10 °C:
1. Check the hydraulic oil level.
2. If necessary, add ISO-L HV VG 36 oil. (for VM43L: ISO-L HV VG 15 oil only)
• If the pump is used at temperatures below -10 °C:
Replace the hydraulic oil with ISO-L HV VG 15 oil because the pump is delivered with ISO-L
HV VG 36 hydraulic oil.

During use

• Prevent damage to the equipment.
• Continuously monitor the behaviour of the load.
5.3

After use

5.3.1 Inspection
• Check the equipment for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the equipment if it leaks or
is damaged and contact the Holmatro dealer.
5.3.2 Cleaning and storage
• Clean the equipment and any accessories before storage.
• Clean the couplers and make sure to fit the dustcaps.
6 Troubleshooting
6.1 General
Consult the Holmatro dealer if the listed solutions do not give the desired result, or in case of other
problems.
