1.7 DECORATIVE SIDES/BACKS

Decorative sides for fridge/freezers and dishwashers are
fixed to the wall and floor with angle braces and suitable
screws, if possible for the side or wall. Some white goods
suppliers require a decorative side between the fridge and
freezer. Check this in the white goods supplier's installation
instructions. Balance the side so that it is vertical and check
that the internal dimensions are correct. If necessary, cut it
off vertically so it is level with the adjacent cabinets. If the
decorative sides or backs are cut, and the cut surface is
installed facing down to the floor, the rough chipboard/MDF
board must be sealed with wood glue, RubberFix or silicone
and be allowed to dry before installation.
Decorative sides and backs are fitted with screws
from inside the cabinets. Fasten through the screw
bar at the top and with angle braces at the bottom.
Use 20 mm screws at the bottom and 35 mm screws
at the screw bar. A bag of accessories for back fitting
is available under art. no. 39258.
Decorative sides for the rebated range must be cut
down to 311 mm for a 302-deep frame, 439 mm for a
430-deep frame and 589 for a 580-deep frame.
