The arc function can also calculate the outside (default) and inside lengths of arched walls. The
outside arched wall lengths are measured outside of the arc (see diagram below). The inside arched
wall lengths are measured inside of the arc.
ARCHED SEGMENT WALLS – ARCHED WINDOWS (NO BASE)
Example: Find the radius of an arched window with a chord length of 9 Feet 2 Inch and a rise of 3 Feet
and 11-1/2 Inches. Then, find the arc angle, arc length and segment area of the window. Then find the
"outside" arched segment wall lengths in order to frame the window.
