Upgrading to 128 KB Cache Memory
To upgrade to 128 KB cache memory, use four 32 KB x 4 static RAM chips. These four SRAMs can be installed in either SRAM bank.
The following table lists SRAM manufacturer and part numbers.

Remove the eight 8 KB x 8 SRAM chips. See the graphic on the
following page to pinpoint the location. The socket designators are
U3, U4, U9, U10, U11, U12, U15, and U16.

Remove the shorting bridge on J100.

Insert four 32 KB x 8 SRAM chips in the four empty SRAM sockets
nearest the Coprocessor socket. Make sure that the pins are
straight and that all pins are inserted in the receptacles.

Turn the system on. The BIOS System Configuration screen
should display 128 KB of cache memory. If 128 KB cache memory
does not display, check for bent pins on the new SRAM chips.
