Selecting an inst
1. Select a pad.
2. Press the [INST] button.
3. Press the LAYER [MAIN/SUB] button to select the
layer (Main or Sub).
4. Use the [–][+] buttons to select an instrument.
Alternatively, you can use the [K][J] buttons to select category,
number, or SPD-20 (old model) instrument number, and then
use the [–][+] buttons to select an instrument.
Selecting a pad or external trigger
Strike the pad that you want to edit. To select an external trigger
that's connected to an EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT 1–4 jack, strike or
press the connected pad or pedal.
You can also select by holding down the [ENTER] button and using
the [K][J] buttons.
Making settings common to all pads (SET ALL)
Here's how to set the currently-edited parameter to the same value
for all pads.
1. Select a value as described in "Basic Editing
Operation" (p. 12).
2. Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the
[ENTER] button.
3. Press the [ENTER] button.
The parameter value specified for the selected pad/kit is applied
to all pads. If you decide to cancel, press the [EXIT] button.
* If you are editing a setting of an internal pad, the setting is
applied to the eight internal pads. If you are editing a setting of
an external pad, the setting is applied to both the head and rim
of the four external pads.
