14. UAT Antenna Installation
A. General
(1) The antenna must be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Selecting
appropriate UAT antenna locations is critical to the correct performance of the KGX. The
following considerations must be taken into account when selecting the antenna location.
(a) The antennas must be installed away from any projections, the engine(s) and propeller(s).
It must also be installed away from landing gear doors, access doors, or other openings
which will break the ground plane for the antenna.
