Corrective Action
1. If pad is worn thin, replace with new pad.
2. Inspect all attachments and fittings in brake
system.
3. A springy, soft action of the pedal indicates
air in the system. An excessive amount of
air in system will allow the pedal to continue
traveling under normal pressure. In either
case, the system should be bled and refilled.
4. Air will enter system if the reservoir runs dry.
Inspect at regular intervals and keep reser-
voir full at all times.
5. If vent hole in reservoir plug becomes
stopped, there is a possibility that a partial
vacuum will be created in the system, which
will interrupt the fluid flow in the system.
Clear vent hole.
7. Replace brake cylinder cups and "O" rings.
8. Replace wheel cylinder seals.
Corrective Action
1.
If dirt is found in the system, the master cyl-
inder and brake assemblies must be dis-
mantled and parts cleaned with alcohol and
reinstalled. Flush system and install new
brake fluid.
