This is the MIDI Channel for Primary Sounds and Layers. The MIDI Channel
assignments for Layer Program Changes and Split channels follow sequentially:
Layer Program Changes = Basic Channel + 1, Splits = Basic Channel + 2.
The DG8 operates in MIDI "Mode 3: Omni Off/Poly" only, and defaults to MIDI
Channel 1. To set the DG8 to transmit and receive on another MIDI Channel:
