Appendix B: Troubleshooting
SYMPTOM
All programs are out of
tune with external MIDI
devices or other
instruments.
DG8 is not playing at
concert pitch.
DG8 sounds chorused or
tinny even when chorus
fader is down.
The AUX pedal is not
controlling the volume.
The AUX pedal is not
controlling modulation or
the rotary speaker effect on
Electric Organ programs.
The sustain pedal is
controlling the volume or
brightness.
Soft pedal causes notes to
sustain.

CAUSE
Master Tune has been
changed.
Keyboard has been
transposed.
MIDI Echo turned on in
a MIDI sequencer, or
DG8's Local Control is
still on while using a
MIDI sequencer.
AUX pedal has been set
to control modulation.
AUX pedal has been set
to control volume.
Sustain pedal is plugged
into the
pedal jack.
SOFT
Soft pedal is plugged
into the
SUSTAIN/SOST
jack.
SOLUTION
Adjust Master Tune
– see page 44.
Press the
TRANSPOSE
button, then play Middle C
+00
to set transpose to
– see page 44.
Turn Local Control off in
the DG8 (see page 47) or
turn MIDI Echo off in the
sequencer or computer.
Volume
Set AUX pedal to
