APPLICATION
Replacing the Battery

While holding the brightness adjusting
dial by hand, remove the battery cover
(the switch for illuminator) on the top of
the brightness adjusting dial by turning
it counterclockwise.

Turn the battery compartment on the
polar alignment scope downward as
shown in the figure so that the old
battery can fall out of from the battery
compartment.

Turn the battery compartment upward
and insert a fresh battery in the battery
compartment. The bottom of the bat-
tery compartment is the plus side.

Replace the battery cover in place. Be
sure to check if the dark field illumina-
tor is lit by turning on the switch.
