Sharpness
Deepcolor: The higher the Bit setting the higher the number of vis-
ible colors in HDMI.
Downmix
Modify the characteristics of the speaker output:
LT/RT: Select this setting when you want to play a DVD in Dolby Pro
Logic Stereo effect. This produces a 2-channel effect close to reality.
Stereo: Select this setting if you want to play a DVD recorded in 5.1
audio format in 2 channel stereo.
VSS: Perhaps you don't have a 5.1 audio unit. In this case, you can
emulate a comparable sound by selecting the "VSS" setting.
Op Mode (Night mode)
Enable the night mode to activate special audio characteristics making
the sound less disturbing.
Line Out: Night mode is enabled.
RF Remod: Night mode is disabled.
Dynamic (Dynamic Range)
The term "Dynamic Range" defines the ratio of the lowest tone and the
loudest. If this Dynamic Range is very high then there is very low volume
as well as very loud passages.
This might cause some problems for the reproduction. Assume you
want to play a DVD in a very noisy environment. You can increase the
volume to be able to hear the low-volume passages but this entails that
the loud passages become inappropriately noisy. Hence, it is useful to
compress the dynamic range (i.e. decrease) and increase the volume at
the same time.
