System settings
NOTE:
Some menu settings are available only in stop mode (depending on
the DVD).
TV System
Adjust the output of the DVD player to the color transmission system of
your reproducer. The following options are available:
NTSC: System prevalent mainly in Northern America.
PAL: System prevalent in Europe.
AUTO: Select this setting if the reproducer is a multi-system device.
NOTE:
You can switch between the options also by the N/P key (Fig. 3/33).
Screen saver
The device can display a still image on screen indefinitely. This can cause
damage to the screen. Hence, it is useful to enable the screen saver.
The following options are available:
ON: The screen saver is enabled (standard setting).
OFF: The screen saver is disabled.
HD Output (Resolution)
Select the HDMI resolution for the connected reproducer to be used. The
selection of the correct signal format depends on the connection in use
and the reproducer. (Please refer to the user manual of the reproducer.)
NOTE:
You can also switch between the options by pressing the HD/Res. key
(Fig. 3/18).
Video-Output
NOTE:
The "Video" menu is only available when the option "HD off" in the
menu "HD Output" is enabled.
You can define the signal format transmitted to your reproducer by the
option "Video".
CVBS: Select this option if the device is connected to your repro-
ducer by the 4 pole AV jack plug.
