Power Supply

IMPORTANT
Make sure that POWER is set to (!) STANDBY before
connecting
the ACcord
or inserting batteries.
Connect the AC cord as illustrated
below.

AC
inlet of the unit

CAUTION
Use only the supplied AC cord. Use with other cords may
result in the risk of fire.
Backup function
If the AC power supply is interrupted,
the clock is reset. To
back up the clock, insert batteries as illustrated below.
Open the lid of the battery compartment
on the rear and
insert six RI 4 (size C) batteries, not supplied, with the 0
and O marks correctly aligned. Then close the lid.
To switch from AC power supply to battery power
supply, disconnect the AC cord from the AC inlet.
The batteries need to be replaced when:
- The OPE/BATT
indicator becomes dim
- Sound is distorted during operation
- The clock display flashes after power interruption
When replacing the batteries, keep the AC cord connected to
the AC outlet to back up clock setting.
NOTE
When operating on battery power supply:
The clock is not displayed with POWER set to (!) STANDBY
or TIMER.

Notes on batteries
Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with
new ones.
When the unit is not to be used for a long period, remove
the batteries to prevent needless battery wear.
Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take
them apart.
Remove dead batteries.
If liquid leaks from the batteries, wipe thoroughly
to remove.

Maintenance
To
clean the cabinet
tJse a soft cloth lightly moistened with mild detergent
solution.
DO not use
strong solvents such as alcohol,
benzine or thinner.
To
clean the lens
tJse a cotton swab slightly moistened with cleaning fluid.
\fVipe gently from the center to the edge.
