Tune to a station with TUNING.
Turn VOLUME to adjust the sound.

STEREO/MONO
- Sets the FM sound to stereo or monaural.
STEREO: Reception is stereo.
MONO: When an FM stereo broadcast contains noise, set
to MONO. Noise is reduced, although reception is
monaural.
NOTE
If reception is not good, press E repeatedly until
reception is better.
If the unit picks up noise from other electrical appliances
nearby, like a TV or fluorescent lights, move the unit
away.
To turn off the unit, set POWER to O STANDBY so that
ihe OPE/BATT indicator goes out.
To listen with the headphones, connect headphones
with a stereo mini plug to the !_) (Headphones) jack.
To make the display dim, press DIMMER.
"To restore the display, press again.
'To emphasize the low frequencies, press BASS.
IQSOUND system
This svstem m'ovides a rich, three dimensional sound area.
You can enjdy a more enhanced sound.
Press QSOUND.
At higher volumes, turning QSOUND on may cause
sound distortion. in this case, turn the volume down.
If an erroneous display or malfunction occurs,
disconnect the AC cord and remove all the batteries. Then
turn the power back on.
