Screwing
 Before using the machine check whether the screw bit is inserted correctly.
Avoid over-tightening, otherwise the screw head may be damaged or
stripping of the threads may occur.
 Set the rotating direction clockwise. Insert the screw-bit into the slot in the
head of the screw. Hold the screw bit right to the head of the screw,
otherwise the screw or the screw head may be damaged. Press the screw
bit against the screw with a constant pressure while driving in the screw.
 To unscrew, set the rotating direction counter clockwise. Insert the screw
bit into the slot in the head of the screw. Hold the screw-bit right to the head
of the screw, otherwise the screw or the screw head may be damaged.
Press the screw bit against the screw with a constant pressure while
removing the screw.

Battery Disposal

1. Run motor until batteries are completely discharged.
2. Remove the battery from the cordless drill. Depress the battery release
clips (7) and pull out the battery pack from the cordless drill.
3. Wrap heavy insulating tape around the battery terminals or enclose in a
sealable plastic bag to prevent possible shorting.
4. Dispose of batteries through your local waste removal authority.

Maintenance and Cleaning

 Remove the battery before undertaking any cleaning or maintenance work.
 Use only a moist cloth to clean the unit. Do not use aggressive chemicals
which may dissolve plastic parts, or abrasives. Always keep the ventilation
slots (1) clean and free from obstructions.
 The machine is maintenance-free.
 The battery can be recharged up to 500 times if treated carefully. However,
over time the battery's performance can deteriorate. If necessary you can
purchase replacement batteries from Westfalia (Art. 50 94 55).
