Energy saving tips

• If possible, use dark frosted, coated or enamelled oven-
ware and lightweight baking tins and containers, as they
absorb the oven heat particularly well.
If possible, do not use heavy accessories with shiny sur-
faces such as stainless steel or aluminium.
• Only preheat the oven if this is specified in the recipe or in
the tables.
If necessary, place the food in the oven immediately after
reaching the specified temperature.
• When heating up the empty oven, much energy is needed.
Therefore energy can be saved by cooking several dishes
directly one after the other, because the residual heat is
optimally used.
• Switch off the oven about 10 minutes before the end of lon-
ger baking times to use the residual heat to finish cooking.
