Before connecting:

• Maintenance by trained qualified personnel
• Work on equipment with hydr. accumulators (repairs, connecting
pressure gauges, etc.) may only be performed after relieving the fluid
pressure.
• Completely bleed the hydraulic line after connecting it.
Check for damage
Clean ball and spherical cap.
Replace the foam ring if damaged and/or heavily soiled.
Place the foam ring.
Check ball and spherical cap for wear. The wear limit has
been reached when the gauge rests fully on the ball or
enters the spherical cap. Hold the gauge lengthwise toward
the direction of travel:

Check possibly existing wear limits on the hold-down:
Lubricate the ball socket.
