Contents of this chapter

This chapter contains the start-up procedure of the drive. The default device designations
(if any) are given in brackets after the name, for example "main switch-disconnector (Q1)".
The same device designations are also used in the ACS580MV Wiring Diagram of SBU ,
typically.

Operating conditions

The operating conditions for the drive are according to IEC 60721-3-3 'Stationary use at
weather-protected locations' (unless indicated otherwise). For details see Technical data .

Safety

The drive must only be operated by qualified and authorized personnel, i.e. personnel who
are familiar with the operation of the bypass - drive system and the hazards involved.

Overview

The chapter outlines the local operation of the bypass - drive. For additional details on
using the local control panel see User's Manual " ACS-AP-X assistant control panels user's
manual ".
Control of the drive via a PLC or a higher-level control system is not described in this
chapter. If the drive is controlled from remote, see the appropriate manuals for information.
The panel messages and parameter settings used in this chapter are typical examples to
illustrate the related instructions and display functions and may therefore differ from the
actual messages and parameter settings in the drive.
