connecting With an esata caBle and
the UsB caBle
eSATA ports do not supply power. If con-
necting the Drive via eSATA, you must also
connect the USB cable. The eSATA port will
transfer the data; the USB port will supply
the power.
1.
Plug one end of the eSATA cable into the
Drive's eSATA port.
2.
Plug the other end into an eSATA port on
your computer.
3.
Plug the primary USB type A connector
into a USB port on your computer or self-
powered USB hub.
4.
Plug the mini-USB connector into the Drive's
mini-USB port.
