Troubleshooting the Opus 2 Processor

No sound / no start-up lights

 Change the batteries. Try batteries from a different pack if they were changed
recently.
 Check that the battery contacts are clean and free from dust and dirt. If not, clean
with a soft cloth. If the problem persists, change the battery pack frame.
 Check that the on / off switch is able to be closed securely. If not, clean with a soft
cloth. If the problem persists, change the battery pack frame.
 Check that the battery pack cover slides all the way up to the base of the processor.
If not, gently wipe with a soft cloth or replace.
 Check the coil cable is fully inserted into its socket and is functional. If the problem
persists, change the coil cable.
 Use the speech processor test device to check that the Opus 2 is transmitting sound.

Intermittent or reduced sound

 Check the coil cable is fully inserted into its socket and functional. If the problem
persists, change the coil cable. This

 Worn-out batteries. Change the batteries. Try batteries from a different pack if they
were changed recently.
 Place into the drying box overnight.
