4 The Easy Tool-ID System

4.4. Installation and Startup

Once the configuration plans are created and have been uploaded to the microcontroller
(see Section 5), the system is ready for use.
The system has to be installed next to the machine tool near the HMI. The stand has to be
firmly anchored to the floor to prevent the possibility of tipping.
As soon as power has been provided, the system can be connected to the HMI via the USB
port.
Caution
The USB cable must not exceed 3 meters in length.
The system is now ready. After selecting and installing the correct tool adapter, you can
begin processing data. The following adapters are available for selecting:
