Section 1: Assembly and Set-up
3-Point Hitch
Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 8:
1. Install right hand and left hand top hitch halves (#5)
and (#6) to the inside of the hitch mounting bars on
the frame with 5/8" x 1 1/2" long bolts (#7), nuts (#8)
and lock washers (#9). Do not tighten bolts at this
time.
2. Insert the top hitch spacer tube (#10) between the
left hand and right hand hitch as shown and secure
with the 5/8" x 3 1/2" long bolt (#12), nut and lock
washer.
3. Tighten all bolts referring to the Torque Values Chart
in the "Appendix" section on page 25.
Driveline Guard
Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 8:
Fasten the driveline guard (#11) to the top hitch with the
four wing bolts (#13).
Front Deflector

WARNING
Failure to install front deflector guides will result in damage
to the front deflector!

Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 8:
1. Install front deflector guides (#1) with 5/16" x 3/4"
long bolts (#2) and lock nuts (#3) on each end of the
tiller frame.
2. Assemble Front Deflector (#14) to the frame with a
clamp bar (#15) on the top of the front deflector.
Insert the 5/16" carriage bolts (#16) from the bottom
side and secure with the 5/16" lock nuts (#17).
Parking Stand
Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 8:
Install the parking stand through the stand bracket and
adjust stand to desired height and pin with
5/16" x 2 1/2" long wire lock pin (#8).
NOTE: For parking the tiller, use the three upper
holes and pin below the outer tube. When the tiller
is in use, the bottom hole is used and the pin is
above the outer tube.
Spring Tines
Refer to Figure 1-2:
1. Install carriage bolts (#1) from underneath side as
shown.
2. Place Right Hand Spring (#2) and Left Hand Spring
(#3) in slot and hold in place with clip (#4).
3. Secure with plate (#5) and lock nut (#6).
