TROUBLE SHOOTING
WARNINGS AND SAFETY ADVICE
1. Make sure that the plug is completely inserted in the socket before switching on the appliance.
2. Never remove the plug by pulling the cable; this may cause damage and create short circuits.
3. Do not use the plug to switch the appliance on and off; use the appropriate switches.
4. Do not tamper with the power supply cable or use extension leads.
5. Do not insert objects into the intake grille.
6. Do not spray water on the air cleaner.
7. Remove the plug and make sure the fan has stopped operating before carrying out the recommended cleaning
or maintenance operations.
WARNING: If the problems persist, disconnect the power supply and contact the Authorised After-Sales
Service.
Problem
1 - The air cleaner gives
no sign of life.
The air cleaner does not
switch on.
2 - The remote control
does not work.
3 - The yellow "FILTER
ON" indicator light fla-
shes.
4 - The Germicidal lamp
is off.
(Only for DSCL model)
ENGLISH
Cause
A - No power supply.
B - The remote control does not work.
C - The microswitch does not close the con-
tact.
D - The fuses have blown.
A - Because the signal does not cover the
distance or the batteries are flat.
A - The electrostatic filter contains foreign
bodies or metallic parts.
B - The electrostatic filter is wet.
C - The high voltage clips are not pressing
properly on the brass contacts situated insi-
de the air cleaner.
D - The temperature is too high inside the
room.
A - No power supply.
B - Lamp life has expired.
(about 8,000 hours of operation).
Remedy
A - Check if the supply is pre-
sent.
Check that the filter access
door is perfectly closed.
B - Make sure that the distance
from the appliance is not more
than 10/15 metres. Replace the
batteries
C - If the pin does not fully
press the microswitch down,
adjust it by unscrewing it sli-
ghtly.
D - Replace any fuses which
have blown: only use fuses with
the same value (1.25 A).
A - Make sure that the distance
from the appliance is not more
than 10/15 metres.
B - Replace the batteries.
A - Remove any foreign bodies
from the electrostatic filter.
Make sure that the plates are
not deformed and that they are
not touching each other.
B - Let the electrostatic filter
dry completely.
C - Check and if necessary
adjust the bending of the con-
tact clips.
D - Control the climatic condi-
tions using an Artel air condi-
tioner.
Otherwise switch off the
appliance for 20 minutes and
then turn it on again.
A - Rotate the lamp by a quar-
ter of a turn.
B - Replace the lamp.
