Early Warning "Area Mail"
Area Mail is a service that you can receive Earthquake Early
Warning and Tsunami Warning provided by the Meteorological
Agency, and Disaster/Evacuation information provided by the nation
or local public body without being affected by the line congestion.
• Area Mail is a free service and subscription is not required.
• Up to 50 items can be saved. If savable amount of Area Mail exceeds
the limit of maximum, the oldest one is deleted in order.
• Area Mail cannot be received in the following case.
- When power is off
- During International roaming
- In Airplane mode
- While updating software
- When PIN entry screen is displayed
- When a SIM other than by DOCOMO is in use
- During a voice call (except for VoLTE voice calls)
• Area Mail may not be received when available memory of the terminal is
low or tethering is set, or during packet communication.
• You cannot receive the unreceived Area Mail (Earthquake Early Warning).
Area Mail (tsunami warning, emergency warning related to weather etc.,
disaster/evacuation information) can be resent. In the case you could not
receive it, you can receive it again.
Receiving Early Warning "Area Mail"
When Area Mail is received, a content notification screen appears and you
are notified by dedicated buzzer sound or dedicated ringtone and vibration.
• The buzzer sound and the ringtone cannot be changed.

When Area Mail is received, the dedicated buzzer or ringtone
sounds, a notification icon appears on the status bar, and a
message of Area Mail appears.
Viewing received Area Mail later

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Disaster kit"

"Early Warning "Area Mail"" → Select a message of Area Mail
from Area Mail list
Deleting an Area Mail message

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Disaster kit"

"Early Warning "Area Mail"" → Mark an Area Mail you want to
delete
