Storage folder structure
Phone (Internal storage)
Main folders in the internal storage (/storage/emulated/0) by default are
as follows.
• Depending on operations on the terminal, displayed folders may differ.
Item
Alarms
Save music data etc. for alarm sound.
Android
Save setting data or temporary files for the system or
apps.
DCIM
Save still image/video data shot by the camera and
image data of displayed screen (screen capture) (when
the saving location is set to the terminal).
Download
Save data downloaded by the browser.
Movies
Save video data.
Music
Save music data.
Notifications
Save music data etc. to set as notification sound.
Pictures
Save image data etc.
Podcasts
Save podcast data.
Ringtones
Save music data etc. to set as ringtone.
Samsung
Save data obtained from Galaxy related site.
microSD card (external storage)
You can attach microSD card to the terminal and use it.
• For details on microSD cards that can be used for this terminal, refer to
"microSD card" (P.23).
• For how to attach/remove microSD card, refer to "Installing microSD
card" (P.24) and "Removing microSD card" (P.25).

File operation
Folder and file operation
Use "My Files" to display or manage various data such as still images,
videos, music or document saved on the terminal or microSD card.
• Depending on the folders, there are some operations which cannot be
performed such as changing and deleting names, etc.

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "My Files"

Tap an item in CATEGORIES/PHONE → Tap a folder as
required
• When you touch and hold a folder/file to mark, items such as menu
appear. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Tap a file you want to use
• Display/play the file.
Creating shortcuts

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "My Files"

Tap an item in CATEGORIES/PHONE

Touch and hold folder/file you want to create a shortcut →
→ "Add shortcut" → "My Files"/"Home screen"
• When "Home screen" is selected, tap "CREATE".
Deleting shortcuts on the main screen in My Files

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "My Files"

→ "Manage shortcuts" → Select shortcut you want to
delete → "REMOVE"
• When a shortcut is created on the Home screen, touch and hold the
icon on the Home screen → Tap "Remove from Home".
