Voltage equalization
An external ground connection is required to the grounding point on the housing.

Maintenance and repair
If the back cover has to be opened in Ex environment, wait minimum 15 minutes
after power has been switched off before opening to allow internal components to
cool down to safe temperature. The encoder is not reparable by the user.

6.2.2 inductive encoder

The inductive speed encoder is an Namur intrinsic safe incremental single pulse
encoder with 40ppr, certified II 2G Ex ia IIC T6 Ga for gas area.
Electrical connection
The inductive speed encoder must be operated via an intrinsically safe switching
amplifier to limit the energy to the explosive zone.
