To charge a battery, proceed as follows and carry the steps out in
the sequence presented:
1. Set the selector switch to the desired charging current. Use the in-
cluded tool (7).
For an optimal charge it is advisable to set the switch to approxi-
mately 10 % of the battery capacity.
Example:
The battery to be connected has a capacity of 2400 mAh.
2400 mAh x 0.1 = 240 mA.
Set the selector switch to a charging current of 240 mA.
The required charging time can be calculated according to this for-
mula: Battery Capacity x 1.4 / Charging Current = Charging time.
Example:
2400 mAh x 1.4 / 240 mA = 14 Hours
The formula above is for reference only. Please keep in mind that the
best charging time may be different, depending on the battery type.
Please also refer to the instructions of the manufacturer of the batter-
ies.
2. Connect the battery to the charger with the included adaptors. Please
observe correct polarity (Plus = Rot).
3. Connect the charger to a suitable wall socket. The LED lights up. The
charger checks the current and automatically sets the correct charg-
ing voltage.
4. Disconnect the charger from the power mains after the recom-
mended charging time has elapsed (see paragraph 1.).
5. Disconnect the battery from the charger.
