The light sensor is faulty.
Switch off the daytime driving lights in the on-board computer

( page 160).

Switch the lights on and off using the light switch.

Visit a qualified specialist workshop.

The lights are still switched on when you leave the vehicle. A
warning tone also sounds.
Turn the light switch to $ or c.

If the rear foglamp is switched on: press the light switch in to

Some electronic systems are unable to send information to the
on-board computer. The following systems may be malfunction-
ing:
coolant temperature display
R
rev counter

cruise control or SPEEDTRONIC display

Visit a qualified specialist workshop.

The coolant level is too low.
Top up the coolant, observing the warning notes before doing

so ( page 211).

If the coolant needs topping up more often than usual, have the

engine coolant system checked at a qualified specialist work-
shop.
