ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY
Drain Plug (Alu‑RIB Models)
The Alu‑Rib and Alu‑Rib Ultra Light series are equipped with a drain plug in the
transom. The plug must be installed when the boat is exposed to water. The
hull cavity plug must be regularly removed to allow collected water to escape
from the inner hull (bilge). For Alu‑Ribs which lie in the water for an extended
period of time, an automatic bilge pump is recommended. The deck drain plug
should only be removed if the boat is operated in forward direction or if the boat
is stored in the davits or on deck shelves.

Engine Installation

Exceeding the boat's maximum horsepower rating can cause serious injury
or death. Overpowering the boat can affect boat control and flotation
characteristics or break the transom. Do not install an engine that exceeds
the boat's maximum power rating.
IMPORTANT: Using an outboard that exceeds the maximum horsepower limit
of a boat can:
Result in severe handling or stability problems
Place too much weight at the transom, altering the flotation characteristics
of the boat
Cause the boat to break apart, particularly around the transom area
The maximum engine horsepower is listed in Section 3 ‑ Quicksilver
Inflatable Specifications.
USE A LANYARD SWITCH. This switch will stop the engine if, for any reason,
the operator leaves the control.
Mounting the engine:
Make sure you are standing safely and stable.
Unlock the motor for tilting and mount the motor on the transom.
The motor must be in the middle of the transom for proper operation.
Screw the brackets securely on the stern.
