Ensure retention of main power cables
Description: When sliding the server in and out of the rack enclosure, the power cords might
loosen or detach from the server.
Solution:

Scalability cables difficult to install and remove
Description: The EMC shield (scalability bracket) on some xSeries 440 servers is not
recessed enough, and this makes it is very difficult to install and remove the scalability cables.
(For additional information about connecting the scalability cables, see "Cabling" on page 18.)
Solution: Obtain the replacement EMC shield. For assistance in obtaining the replacement
EMC shield:
A new Miscellaneous Parts Kit that includes the replacement EMC shield (24P1240) will be
available in September, 2002.
