Vehicles with front-wheel drive
– Release and separate plug-in connector -2-. Separate plug-in
connectors

– Release suction line -1- -arrows- and pull off.
Vehicles with all-wheel drive
– Release suction-jet pump -B- from clips -arrows- and pull off.
– Release line -A- and pull off. Separate plug-in connectors

Continued for all vehicles
– Take delivery unit out of fuel tank through the opening.
– When the delivery unit is replaced, the old delivery unit must
emptied before disposal.

Observe relevant disposal regulations.
Separating flange from fuel delivery unit
– Release and pull connector -2- off flange -1-.
– Disconnect fuel line -3- at flange -1-. Separate plug-in con‐
nectors

– Pull fuel line -4- off fuel delivery unit -5-. Separate plug-in con‐
nectors

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Please observe the following:
– Renew seal.
Note
Make sure all components are mounted in the correct position.

Observe installation position of fuel supply line to supplemen‐

tary heater ⇒ Auxiliary heater, supplementary heater; Rep.
gr. 82 ; Fuel supply system; Fitting location overview - fuel
supply system .
Plug-in connectors for fuel lines must engage »audibly« when

joined.
Note colour assignment when installing the plug-in connectors

Ensure plug-in connector is secured properly by pulling it.

Separate plug-in connectors
♦
– Insert fuel delivery unit without flange, taking care not to bend
fuel gauge sender.
