– Compare delivered quantity of fuel with specification indicated
in chart.

Voltage at fuel pump with en‐

Reading example:
During the test a voltage of 10.5 volts is measured. This equates
to a minimum fuel delivery rate of approx. 1200 cm
onds.
If specification is not obtained
– Remove fuel delivery unit and check filter strainer for dirt
⇒ "2.2 Removing and installing fuel delivery unit, fuel gauge
sender", page 43 .
– Check fuel lines for leaks and damage.
– Ensure that all hose connections are properly connected to
fuel delivery unit.
If no fault is detected:
– Check current draw of fuel pump

If no fault was detected in the current draw:
– Renew flange for fuel delivery unit
⇒ "2.2 Removing and installing fuel delivery unit, fuel gauge
sender", page 43 .
Note
Pressure limiting valve and fuel filter are integrated in flange of
fuel delivery unit and cannot be renewed individually.
– Repeat fuel delivery rate check at fuel delivery unit
⇒ page 93 .
If specification is not obtained
– Renew fuel delivery unit
⇒ "2.2 Removing and installing fuel delivery unit, fuel gauge
sender", page 43 .
If fuel delivery rate has been attained, but nevertheless you sus‐
pect a fuel supply system fault (e.g. intermittent failure of fuel
supply system):
– Check current draw of fuel pump
