* The engine is off and the charge level is too low.

* If the message appears while the engine is running, this indicates an on-board electrical system malfunction.

* The 12 V battery is not being charged.

Switch off electrical consumers that are not required.

To charge the 12 V battery:
Leave the engine running for a few minutes, or drive an extended distance.
