    The RMM plugs directly into the Total Access 3000 (23-inch) shelf or the Total Access 3010 (19-inch) shelf. Both are rack mounted chassis, with 28 access module slots on the Total Access 3000 and 22 access module slots on the Total Access 3010.

    To install the Remote Management Module, perform the following steps: 1. If present, remove the Access Module Blank (P/N 1181953L1) from the appropriate access module slot of the Total Access 3000 chassis. 2. Pull the ejector tab on the bottom of the RMM into the down (open) position.

    The RMM can occupy any access module slot and terminates a DS1 signal in the Total Access 3000/3010 system. Power Interface The RMM receives power from the Total Access 3000/3010 system. SCU User/Supervisory Interface User access to the RMM is through the SCU via the system bus present on the Total Access backplane.

    Menu Structure MENU STRUCTURE The SCU provides a menu system for the Total Access 3000 shelf. All system-related menus are controlled by the SCU. Each access module has its own user menu structure supported by the module. The menu structure for the RMM is a layered menu tree. Each menu level consists of submenus and/or menu items.
