Presser Foot Sole Display

When embroidering, the machine will show a recommended presser foot sole in the Presser Foot Display.

Stitch Plate Selection

It is recommended that you always use a Straight Stitch Plate when embroidering. The machine recognizes
what stitch plate is attached.

The recommended presser foot sole is displayed in the
Presser Foot Display.

Touch the Presser Foot Display icon.
3.
The suggested sole (JX in this case) will be displayed with a
green check.
Note: In embroidery mode, you must select the foot that
is actually attached to the machine as this has an influence
on the presser foot height.

Other presser feet that are suitable are marked in the list
with a star.
5.
Touch the sole on the screen to access additional helpful
information (b79 only).

Proceed to next section.
NOTE: There are two presser feet for embroidery.
Embroidery foot JL works for most projects and is receom-
mended for CutWork designs.
Embroidery foot JX is perfect for bulky or fluffy fab-
rics, Puffy Lettering and multilayer quilts. Thanks to the
spring mechanism, the optimum pressure is applied to the
embroidered materical, while at the same time, the move-
ment of the foot compensates for any uneven areas.

Attach the Straight Stitch Plate to the machine. (b79)

The Stitch Plate icon will display 0mm above it. NOTE: If you
have the 7 mm Stitch Plate attached on the b79, you will see
7 mm displayed, and you will need to change the stitch plate
for embroidery.
