3. Installation
3.1. Ventilation and Cooling (Figure 1 & Figure 2)
The cooling air inlet for the unit must not be obstructed. The ventilation holes
for the outlet of cooling air allow a free flow of air through and around the unit,
especially at high ambient temperatures.
The ADTS 405R rack-mounted version fits in a standard 6U height 19-inch rack.
There must be enough space at the rear of the unit for all the cables and pipes.
The length of the cables and pipes must allow for the removal and fitment of
the unit in the equipment rack.
Note: When installing the ADTS 405R into a system, the installation
technician is also responsible for the safety of the system.
3.2. Pressure and Vacuum Services
The pressure source should be clean dry air or Nitrogen at a pressure of 3.5 bar
gauge minimum to 6 bar gauge maximum (51 to 90 psi gauge). The ADTS 405R
has an internal regulator to protect the controllers. Filtering should be to better
than 15 microns and available flow rate greater than 2.8 litres/min (0.1 cubic
ft/min) at the above pressure. The Vacuum source should be 20 mbar absolute
(0.3 psi absolute), or lower, with a flow rate capability greater than 11
litres/min (0.39 cubic ft/min).
3.3. Pneumatic Connections (Figure 3, Figure 4 & Figure 5)
In normal operation make sure that the correct blanking caps are fitted to the
external connectors.

A leak of this blanking cap affects the performance of the ADTS 405F.

Notes:
Any optional configuration of bulkhead connector sizes available for the ADTS
405F can be fitted as specified.
On the ADTS 405R Expansion Port Plug (15) MUST be fitted if expansion port
(14) is not in use with external GE PV103R pump.
