Commissioning

6.1 Installing the software

You can connect the "OV-DMC 3" measuring
system with a smartphone, tablet computer,
notebook, or PC via the Wi-Fi interface.
Applications for measurement and evaluation
using the "OV-DMC 3" are available for the
following operating systems:
• iOS
• Android
Apps for iOS and Android operating systems
are available in the relevant app stores (iTunes,
Google Play).

f Install the software matching the operating
system you are using. Follow the informa-
tion in the applicable installation guide.
6.2 Connecting to the power
supply
Please note that the socket must be
in the vicinity and easily accessible
when charging the product so that
the power supply can immediately
be disconnected in the event of a
malfunction.

WARNING
Explosion and fire hazard
If you use an unsuitable power supply
or connect the "OV-DMC 3" sensor to
the power supply when the batteries
have been deep-discharged, the bat-
tery can heat up so much that it catch-
es fire or explodes.
f To charge the battery, only use the
power supply provided by Oven-
trop for this purpose.
f Place the "OV-DMC 3" sensor on a
non-flammable surface during the
charging process.
f Do not allow the battery to charge
without supervision.
f "OV-DMC 3" sensors with
deep-discharged batteries cannot
be repaired. Dispose of the prod-
uct appropriately.
WARNING
Danger from electric currents!
Electric shock may be caused by leak-
age currents when charging the prod-
uct in wet or moist environments.
f Only use the power supply in dry,
indoor environments.
f Connect the product to the power supply
provided (see item 3 in Illust. 4 on page
28)
f Plug the power supply into a power socket.
f Observe the charging status display in the
software you are using
