    MV5C. Note: The first time you connect to the MV5C, audio playback will remain assigned to the previously selected output. This means the microphone will be enabled for audio input, but not output. Output will still come through your computer speaker or headphone output.

    Press to turn speech mode on and off. ② Mute Button Press to mute the microphone input. All MV5C LEDs will turn red when microphone is muted. ③ Headphone Volume Control Adjusts the headphone volume when the MV5C headphone output is enabled.

    For conferencing applications, place the MV5C 12-18 inches (30-46 cm) away from your face and select speech mode. For best results, place the microphone just to the left or right of your keyboard with the circular Shure logo pointed towards your mouth.

    Connect the MV5C to your computer using the USB cable and listen through your computer’s built-in speakers or headphone output. If you are listening to computer audio playback, the headphone LED on the MV5C will be off because the headphone output is off.
