3.1.3 Precautions for Troubleshooting Emergency Faults

For Customers
An emergency fault features enormous hazard and fatal consequences. To improve the
troubleshooting efficiency and minimize the lost, customers must:





Disruption Criterion
 The signal cannot be locked.
 The reception mode is set
correctly whereas the signal reception
fails. The Alarm indicator blinks or is
steady red.

The IRD6000 fails to descramble the
scrambled programs.
 The IRD6000 fails to identify the CAM
card.
 No HDMI decoded content is
outputted.

No CVBS decoded content is outputted.
 No IP or ASI signal is outputted.
Set restoring business and bringing the device back to normal operation quickly as the
prime objective. Refer to the emergency maintenance guides for the IRD6000 and
relevant components to make up processing schemes for emergency faults of different
types. Arrange maintenance personnel to study and practice maintenance regularly (once
per quarter is recommended).
Ensure that emergency maintenance personnel have received necessary training before
being placed in position and has mastered location and processing skills required to
troubleshoot emergency faults. For details, see "Requirements for Maintenance
Personnel."
Prepare necessities for troubleshooting emergency faults beforehand.
Contact Huawei's customer service centers or local branch offices immediately after an
emergency fault erupts if the customer has signed an SLA with Huawei. For details, see
"Obtaining Huawei's Technical Support."

3 Troubleshooting
Fault Symptom
The video output is interrupted.
The scrambled programs fail to

no video is outputted.
