3. Outline of USB type-C
USB type-C is a new standard which has various capabilities for connecting IT devices.
Some of these capabilities are unique to USB type-C.
Please see descriptions below how to utilize new functions.
Major functions of USB type-C
- Connect devices and data transfer (Same as USB 2.0 but higher speed)
- "DP alt mode" which means that it works as a DisplayPort to transmit video.
- "Power delivery" function enables user to supply power up to 100W (20V/5A)

Note
LAN connection becomes enabled when you
connect your PC by USB type-C.
But in case of PN-CD701, it is necessary to do
some additional procedures to enable LAN function.
