Possible causes of accidents
Do not perform flips, incorrect landing on the trampoline can lead to injuries of the back, neck
or head.
More users:
The risk of injury increases if the trampoline is used by more people at a time. The smallest
and lightest person's risk of injury is more likely than the risk for higher or heavier people.
Entering and exiting the trampoline:
Always enter and exit the trampoline carefully. Do not walk on the springs or jump on the trampo-
line from a higher place such as a ladder, roof or terrace.
Frame and springs:
When jumping on the trampoline, try to stay in the center of the jumping surface to reduce the risk
of injury in case of a fall on the frame or springs. Springs and frame must always be completely
covered with a protective collar. Avoid stepping or jumping on the protective collar.
Loss of control over the movement:
If you lose control over your motion, it can lead to an injury by the jumping surface, frame or spring.
Controlled jumps are performed if a person lands on the same spot from which he/she sprang.
Learn the basic techniques of jumping, before you try more difficult jumps. Risk of injury also inc-
reases with increasing fatigue.
Other objects:
Do not use the trampoline if animals, other persons or objects are under the trampoline. Do not
hold any objects while jumping on a trampoline and do not place any objects on it while it is used
by another person. Remove all branches, cables and similar obstacles, which might appear above
the trampoline.
Insufficient maintenance:
Poor maintenance of the trampoline increases the risk of injury. Check the trampoline regularly
and replace all torn or worn parts before further use.
Bad weather conditions:
Use the trampoline only in good weather conditions. Wet jumping surface is slippery and jumping
in strong wind can lead to loss of control of the movement and result in injuries.
Unlimited access to the trampoline:
When the trampoline is not in use, store the ladder in a safe place so that it cannot be accessed
by unsupervised children.
Accident prevention:
All users of the trampoline must be familiar with the basic jumps before switching to more compli-
cated ones. The user is in control of his movement when he or she jumps and lands at the same
spot.
NOTE
Prior to first use read the section „Trampoline testing".
Trampoline testing:
After the assembly of the trampoline it is important that you perform the following safety checks:
• Use a screwdriver to check that all screws are tightened securely.
• Look underneath the trampoline and make sure all springs are attached securely to the frame
and triangular handles.
• Use both hands to transfer your weight to different parts of the trampoline and make sure
the frame and jumping surface is alright.
• Check whether the protective collar covers the springs and frame completely.
• Make sure the bars are securely mounted on the trampoline and check the strength of the atta-
chment.
• Make sure the spring cover and safety net are not torn at the seams.
• Make sure the zipper at the entrance to the trampoline is working properly.
• Make sure all peripheral hooks are connected to the triangular handles underneath the tram-
poline.
