6. Initial use

6.1 Insert the batteries

1. Open the battery compartment lid.
2. Insert four 1.5V AAA type (LR03) batteries. Make
sure that the batteries are inserted the correct way
round. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
3. Close the battery compartment lid again carefully.
4. The device will emit an acoustic signal and the year
will flash on the display.
The batteries must be replaced when
