Before carrying out any test work with the PD-SGS it should be tested to check if it is
operating correctly.
9.1

Function tester PD-FT

The function tester PD-FT is a small battery operated test device for checking the correct
performance of the PD-SGS. When the yellow button is pressed it generates both TEV
signal and AE signal.
The PD-FT is battery operated. When the battery level is low, the Power LED will flash. The
PD-SGS charger can be used to recharge the battery. Whilst charging, the LED will be bright
and when fully charged the LED will return to normal intensity.
