Spike Aerator
Practical Tips
Aerate in the straightest line possible.
Make overlapping passes to increase
density of the spike point pattern.
If the ground is extremely hard and dry, it
should be sprinkled or watered down for
one to two hours prior to use of the
aerator.
Do not aerate if the ground is too wet
(muddy).

To increase depth of spike point
penetration, weight can be added to the
tray:
Weights (concrete patio blocks are
recommended) should be secured with
rubber tie down straps.

Push the Lift Handle (3) in the opposite
direction of the arrow until it ratchets
into the notch (transport position =
wheels down).

Maintenance

Before Each Use
Check all nuts and bolts for tightness,
when necessary retighten.
As Needed
If rust appears, sand lightly and coat
a
ted parts with enamel paint.
Lubricate wheel bearings.
Storage
When storing for longer periods of time
(e.g. in winter):
Coat exposed, unpainted metal parts
with light oil.
Store the equipment in a dry area.
