Important safety information

The safety instructions and warnings described here are
intended to safeguard your health as well as protect the
product. The following points must be read through care-
fully.
Damage resulting from inappropriate use or the failure to
observe these instructions or safety information is not
covered by the guarantee. Liability will not be accepted
for secondary damage.
General conditions
Product damage from incorrect operation
in stormy weather!
If the recommended wind speed limits are
exceeded (see Tab. 2), damage to the awn-
ings can be expected.
Retract the awning to the upper limit posi-
tion and take out of service.
Product damage from wetness!
The formation of water pockets on the awning
fabric can cause the unit to fail.
Protect the awning fabric by retracting it in
wet weather.
Product damage from incorrect behaviour
in windy weather!
Especially in winter, awnings can be expected
to freeze up. In wintry temperatures, retract
the awnings to the upper limit position and
take out of service. We recommend the use of
an ice monitoring system.
Do not use the product in icy weather. The
product must be cleared of ice and snow be-
fore it can be used. Liability cannot be ac-
cepted for damage to the product resulting
from the operation under icy conditions.
Product damage from power failure!
Motorised awnings cannot be retracted without
power. Manual emergency operation or an
emergency power supply should be considered
for windy regions with frequent power failures.
