Controls
Autotest
The autotest function is activated by holding
the seasonal changeover button pressed and
at the same time pressing the " " button
three times within 1 second.
In this way it is possible to check the starting
of all fan coils.
The green and red LEDs will begin to flash.
Each of the various units will be activated for
10 seconds in the following sequence:
Low fan speed.
Medium fan speed.
High fan speed.
CV Motorized cold-water valve.
HV Motorized hot-water valve, or electric
heater (only type "B" control versions).
Elapsed 1 minute the control ends the
test mode.
Electric heater
Units can be supplied with a factory installed
electric heater, or supplied as a separate kit.
The electric heaters are controlled by type "B"
control through an auxiliary relay located in
the plastic electric box panel.
The electric heaters are equipped with two
safety thermostats, one with automatic reset,
the second with manual reset, to protect the
unit against overtemperature that may
happen in case of incorrect filter cleaning or
obstructions of the air flow.
NOTES:
• The low fan speed on units equipped
with a "HIGH POWER" electric heater
has been disabled.
In case of failure in the electric fan,
•
replace the electric heater too.
Only qualified personnel should carry out
this operation.
To access the control box panel, remove the
screw located at the bottom of the cover and
delicately bend the tab to remove the cover.
Connect the power supply to the electric
heater terminal . Size the cables according
to current drawn (see table III "Technical data
of electric heater).
It is important not to obstruct the supply
or air flow and to periodically check that
the filter is clean.
IMPORTANT:
The use of hot water and electric heater
together is not allowed.
If the unit equipped with electric heaters is
connected to a hot water source, the use of a
water on-off valve is necessary at the coil
input in order to avoid that the heating
element works when water is circulating. With
units equipped with electric heater, the type
"B" control (code 42N9003) specially
designed by Carrier is to be used.

Autotest
La funzione "Autotest" viene attivata tenendo
premuto il pulsante cambio stagionale e
contemporaneamente premendo per tre volte
il tasto " " entro 1 secondo. In questo modo è
possibile verificare l'accensione di tutte le
utenze. Il LED verde e il LED rosso iniziano a
lampeggiare.
Le varie utenze saranno attivate per 10
secondi ciascuna, nel seguente modo:
bassa velocità ventilatore.
media velocità ventilatore.
alta velocità ventilatore.
elettrovalvola acqua fredda.
CV
elettrovalvola acqua calda, o elemento
HV
riscaldante (solo versione comando tipo
" "). Trascorso 1 minuto il comando
B
esce dalla modalità test.
Elemento riscaldante
Le unità possono essere fornite con elemento
riscaldante installato direttamente in fabbrica
o fornito come kit separato. Gli elementi riscaldanti
sono comandati dal comando tipo
un relè ausiliario posto nel quadro elettrico in plastica.
Gli elementi riscaldanti sono equipaggiati con due
dispositivi termici di interruzione; uno a riarmo automatico
ed uno a riarmo manuale, per proteggere l'unità
da eventuali sovratemperature dovute alla non corretta
pulizia del filtro o da ostruzioni del flusso d'aria.
NOTE:
• Nelle unità con elemento riscaldante
"ALTA POTENZA" , la bassa velocità del
ventilatore viene esclusa.
In caso di guasto all'elettroventilatore, si
•
raccomanda di sostituire anche l'elemento
riscaldante; tale operazione deve essere
eseguita esclusivamente da personale
qualificato.
Per accedere al quadro elettrico, svitare
l'apposita vite posizionata nella parte bassa del
coperchio e piegare leggermente la linguetta
dello stesso in modo da poterlo sganciare.
Collegare l'alimentazione elettrica degli
elementi riscaldanti all'apposito morsetto
Dimensionare la sezione dei cavi in funzione
della corrente assorbita (vedi tabella III, dati
tecnici elemento riscaldante).
Si raccomanda di non ostruire la mandata o
ripresa dell'aria e di controllare che il filtro sia pulito.
NOTE IMPORTANTI:
Non é ammesso l'uso contemporaneo di
acqua calda ed elemento riscaldante.
Nel caso in cui l'unità con resistenze elettriche
sia collegata ad una sorgente di acqua calda è
necessario prevedere l'utilizzo della valvola
d'intercettazione acqua all'ingresso della batteria,
al fine di evitare in funzionamento dell'elemento
riscaldante con acqua in circolo.
Nell'unità con elemento riscaldante deve
essere usato il comando Carrier tipo "B" (cod.
accessorio 42N9003), appositamente progettato.
