1. General notes

Before mounting and using for the
first time, read these instructions
carefully and follow the information

they contain. Pass the instructions
onto the owner for safe-keeping.
The warnings provided, indicate hazardous
situations which, if not avoided will result in
death or serious injury in the case of
DANGER or could result in death or serious
injury in the case of WARNING.
NOTICE indicates potential damage to the
product or its surroundings.

2. Scope of delivery

Electric internal shutter, extension connector,
foam strip and these operating and mounting
instructions.

3. Specialist installer qualification

The internal shutters may only be installed by
a trained electrician, in line with these
instructions. You are deemed competent if
you can competently and safely connect units
to an electrical power supply in line with the
wiring diagram, on the basis of your technical
training and experience and are able to
recognise and avoid risks and dangers
associated with electricity.

4. Intended use

Internal shutters with adjustable basic and
maximum ventilation. For ventilation of
rooms or air extraction from rooms. For
surface installation indoors. Any installation
position can be selected.
The internal shutters are only intended for
domestic use and similar purposes. No other
or additional use is intended.

5. Non-intended use

The internal shutters must not be used in the
following situations under any circumstances.
Read all the safety instructions.

Unit damage through modifications and
alterations. Modifications and alterations to
the unit are not permitted and release the
manufacturer from any guarantee and
liability.

Damage to the unit when used outdoors.
Only use the internal shutters in an indoor
location.

rooms. Do not use internal shutters in
humid rooms.
DANGER
Explosion hazard if operated in an
explosive atmosphere in the case of
ignition, e.g. from sparks.
Never use the internal shutters in an
explosive atmosphere.

Risk of combustion/fire from flammable
materials, liquids or gases in the vicinity
of the internal shutters.
Do not place any flammable materials,
liquids or gases near the device, which may
ignite in the event of heat or sparks and
catch fire.
WARNING
Risk to health from chemicals
or aggressive gases/vapours.
Chemicals or aggressive gases/vapours
may harm health, especially if they are
distributed throughout the rooms by the
internal shutters. Never use internal shutters
to convey chemicals or aggressive
gases/vapours.
