Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered
or recycled.
Leave it a local civic waste collection point.
European directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances are not thrown into the
normal flow of municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately
in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of materials they contain and
reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
Possible causes
- Thermal lid not fitted.
- The jug lid is clogged
or the filter-holder
outlet is clogged.
- Lever not pressed
sufficiently (stainless
steel jug).
- Lid is not unscrewed
enough (plastic jug).
- Hot air is compressing
the lid.

Answers
- Put the lid in place.
- Clean the lid thoroughly
with soapy water or
the filter-holder outlet
(Fig. 9 to 13).
- Press fully (stainless steel
jug).
- Check the position of
marker
- Press the dome cap on the
lid to reduce pressure.
